The University of the Sunshine Coast that opened in 1996 is located at Sippy Downs, on the Sunshine Coast. USC facilities are also located in Noosa and on Fraser Island. There are around 5,500 students enrolled currently with about 977 international students. The range of degree courses at USC, both graduate and undergraduate, is encompassed under the three core faculties of arts, sciences and business studies. Although the university does not maintain accommodation units within the premises, it provides assistance to students seeking residence elsewhere.
