This course is available to those students who demonstrate potential for, and wish to acquire expertise in the technical and production aspects of the entertainment industry. The program is structured to provide skills and experience consistent with the growing needs of the entertainment industry. The skills and knowledge gained will equip graduates to find employment in the areas of theatre, film, television, exhibitions, festivals and trade presentations. A wide range of skills are explored including workshop management and by the close of second year students are expected to show particular expertise in either construction, painting or props, or a combination of these. In the final year a period of external professional placement allows the student to gain further experience.

Students should attend Interview and the submission of a prescribed project for evaluation. They must satisfy IELTS overall band score of 6.0 (no individual band less than 6), TOEFL minimum score of 550 including TWE score of 5 (or a Computer based TOEFL score of 213 with an essay rating of 5 or better), TOEFL iBT score of 80 with no score below 20, GCE O Levels grade C or better, WAUFP 50 percent plus pass in ELACS, TEE pass in English or English Literature, International Baccalaureate Diploma minimum Grade 3 at higher level for an English subject and other acceptable qualifications can be obtained from ECU International. There are different entry requirement for various countries.

The student villages provide a modern friendly environment in self-catering units for a total of 366 students. All villages are located on-campus and close to all campus facilities. Local shops and sport and recreation facilities are within walking distance or easily accessible by public transport. The Off-Campus Housing Service (OCHS) is a free service open to all students and staff of the University. As a referral and resource service, the OCHS provides access to computers, use of telephones, access to maps, bus routes and information on leases or contracts.
