This course prepares students for a career as an engineering officer. Students learn to apply practical analysis and technical principles to the areas of design, testing, inspection, plant operation and manufacturing processes. Career opportunities are analogue and digital electronics, computer engineering, microprocessors and applications, measurement, instrumentation and control, robotics, telecommunications, microwaves, fibre optics, biomedical engineering, power stations, distribution and machines, defence services, electricity boards, government departments.

Students should have an IELTS score of 6.0 (no component lower than 5.5), TOEFL (paper based) - 550 (with minimum test of written English score of 4.5), TOEFL (electronic) - 213 (with essay rating of at least 4.5), TOEFL (internet based) - 80 (with 19 minimum in all bands), PTE - 50 (with no communicative score lower than 50).
