In this course, students will gain hands-on practical, scientific and industry management skills to go further in their Aquaculture and Environmental Management career by learning about aquatic chemistry and biochemistry; aquatic animal nutrition; seafood processing and food safety; business management and marketing and fish, mollusk and crustacean aquaculture. Students who have completed a diploma in aquaculture or a related discipline may be eligible for selected subjects in the Associate Degree of Aquaculture and Environmental Management. Graduates of the associate degree will be equipped to continue on to the Bachelor of Aquaculture and Environmental Management. Graduates may find employment in a multitude of aquaculture industry enterprises as well as in the environmental management sector.

Students must have completed a Year 12 VCE/HSC with English, Mathematics, and one of Chemistry or Biology. Successful completion of a TAFE Diploma course in aquaculture or related discipline, or mature age entry where applicants can demonstrate capacity to undertake work at degree level is required. An additional requirement for international students is International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Level 6.0.
