This program will appeal to those who have an enthusiasm for sport and physical activity and an interest in the biological and physical sciences. The course offers training and career options integrating exercise and physical activity with disease prevention, health, rehabilitation, nutrition and sports performance. Graduates of the Bachelor of Applied Science (Exercise and Sport Science) are scientists with a wide range of theoretical knowledge, practical skills and expertise. The career paths followed by graduates are many and varied and depend mostly on the specific interests and aspirations of the individual. Broadly defined, the areas of employment entered by recent graduates include the sport industry, fitness industry, health industry, occupational health and safety, public health, rehabilitation, research and technology, education and medical insurance.

Students must have an acceptable secondary qualification from their high school studies (or at least one year of tertiary studies). They must satisfy IELTS score of 6.5 (min 6.0 in each band) or TOEFL minimum result of 577 overall including a minimum result of 4.5 in writing or IBT score of 90 overall including a minimum result of 22 in reading, listening and speaking and 23 in writing). They must have assumed knowledge of chemistry and mathematics. Recommended studies include physics, PDHPE and biology.
