This course aims to develop an understanding of the biological and social scientific knowledge and practical skills that underpin secondary school teaching; provide an opportunity for students to develop additional specialist areas; foster independent and collaborative learners who can communicate well in professional settings; develop cultural competence, that is, the ability to work effectively in socially and culturally diverse communities and settings. They will have the opportunity to undertake professional work place training, participate in sports camps and student exchange programs with the many partner universities overseas. Career opportunities are as a secondary teacher in personal development, health and physical education.

Students with year 12 must have VCE with a pass in units three and four and a study core of at least 20 in English units three and four. They must have IELTS overall score of 6.5.
