This course provides students with essential theoretical knowledge as well as practical communication skills including the use of the latest digital multimedia technology. Communication and Media Studies will prepare students with the flexible, generic and portable skills essential for success in a rapidly changing international media and communications environment. It is for those who are interested in journalism, the media, film making, multimedia, the web, computer games and all forms of communication. Graduates are well sought after in areas such as journalism, the media, advertising, public relations, multimedia, public administration, business, government and education. It lays the foundation for further study options at honors and postgraduate level as well as undertaking a cadet-ship in journalism with a media organization.
अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय विद्यार्थीहरू प्रवेशको लागि आवश्यकता
Students must have completed Western Australian Universities Preparatory Program (WAUPP) with a score of 63, International Baccalaureate with a score of 29, French Baccalaureate with a score of 12, UWA Foundation Program (UWAFP) with a score of 66, GCE or Cambridge Advanced-level Examinations with a score of 8. To be eligible for admission to a program at UWA, they must demonstrate satisfactory performance in a UWA-approved test of English. This is the case even if English is their first language. They must also have WA Certificate of Education in English, Literature or English as an additional language/dialect with scaled mark of 50 or above, in stage 2 or stage 3. TEE English/English Literature with scaled mark of 50 or above English as a Second Language with final mark of 66.60 or above (in 2007). There are different English language requirement for various states.
