This course enables students to pursue their passion and career goals simultaneously. They will have a unique opportunity to design a cross-disciplinary course according to their personal interests, perhaps in creative writing from the perspective of a deep commitment to ecological issues, or a future in political journalism, underpinned by expertise in a second language such as Japanese. Students can elect to major in one of the following disciplines: children's literature, English, introductory French, post tee French, geography, history, introductory Japanese, post tee Japanese, politics and government, social sciences and writing.

Students for the advanced language majors will require Year 12 language, or equivalent language skills in the relevant language. Students should satisfy IELTS overall band score of 6.0 (no individual band less than 6), TOEFL minimum score of 550 including TWE score of 5 (or a Computer based TOEFL score of 213 with an essay rating of 5 or better), TOEFL iBT score of 80 with no score below 20, GCE O Levels grade C or better, WAUFP 50 percent plus pass in ELACS, TEE pass in English or English Literature, International Baccalaureate Diploma minimum Grade 3 at higher level for an English subject and other acceptable qualifications can be obtained from ECU International.
