This program includes studies in Chinese, French, German, Indonesian, International English, Italian, Japanese, Korean and Spanish (via cross-institutional study with the University of Queensland). Students advanced writing and presentation skills, the ability to handle and analyze information and experience in organizing and completing projects will equip them well for a stimulating career in advertising, aid work, administration, arts management, education, government, journalism, media, public relations, research, social policy analysis, information management, retail and clerical. Above all, they will have a commitment to continued learning and an appreciation of its importance to their professional success in the future. As a graduate, they may also be eligible to apply for entry to a graduate entry teacher preparation program.

Students should have completed a senior secondary school qualification regarded as comparable to an Australian Year 12 award. International students whose native is not English should have the following requirements: a minimum overall band score of 6.0 on IELTS (Academic) with no sub-score of less than 5.5; a minimum score of 550 on TOEFL; an internet-based (iBT) TOEFL score of 79 (no score less than 19); no score less than three in each skill of the ISLPR (conducted by GELI or ISLPR Language Services only); a minimum grade of C on the Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE); a minimum grade of C on the Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE).

South Bank campus (QCA and the Conservatorium) is only 11 minutes away by bus. As well as the convenient location, there are many benefits to living in a Griffith College including parties, social and sporting events and support with their studies. Students living in Griffith’s Colleges also get discounts at the gyms and food outlets. Accommodation at the Gold Coast campus is operated by Griffith University Village. Home stay is accommodation offered to international students by families who live within commuting distance of Griffith University.
