This double-degree enables students to gain an in depth understanding on how businesses operate and allows students to pursue and interest and gain necessary skills in the field of accounting. The Bachelor of Commerce - Professional Accounting provides an excellent foundation for a range of accounting-based careers. The professional accounting program is accredited by CPA Australia, the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA) and the National Institute of Accountants (NIA). This enables students on completion of the program to apply for Associate Membership (ASA) of CPA Australia, entry to the ICAA's Charted Accountant (CA) Program (provided the work related criterion is met) and Associate Membership (ANIA) of the NIA. This program is suitable for those who want to gain a tertiary qualification in both business administration and accounting. This double degree is suitable for students who wish to gain a broad understanding of business administration whilst still pursuing an interest in developing accounting skills. Career opportunities include accounting, auditing, chartered accounting, financial analysis, forensic accounting, futures trader, government accounting, investment management, management consulting, merchant banker, public practice, stockbroker, superannuation, strategic business adviser and taxation.

Students should have sound knowledge of Mathematics. Students should have IELTS (Academic English only): Minimum score of 6.5 overall, with 6.0 in each section; TOEFL (paper based test): Minimum score of 570 overall, with 53 Listening, 52 Reading, 59 Structure/ Written Expression, 4.5 TWE; TOEFL (internet based test): Minimum score of 90 overall, with 20 Listening, 20 Reading, 22 Writing, 20 Speaking.
