This program will provide students with technical knowledge and business skills at the forefront of organisational practice. Year 1 introduces students to the study of business communication, management, marketing, business informatics, information systems, programming, web design, and systems analysis. In Years 2 and 3, students will complete specialised interdisciplinary studies in IT policy and governance, and business analysis; and a major project or industry placement within an industrial or research setting. This degree is designed to produce graduates equipped to merge an understanding of technology, with wider business and people skills. New forms of organizations are integrating technology at all levels. They will be equipped for a whole new range of employment opportunities in ICT, in the realm of Web 2.0, exploiting new media and social networking. Careers include roles such as business analyst, mobile technology manager, online content specialist, e-marketing and communications consultant, or manager of computer-based information systems within an organization.

Students should have completed a senior secondary school qualification regarded as comparable to an Australian Year 12 award. International students whose native is not English should have the following requirements: a minimum overall band score of 6.0 on IELTS (Academic) with no sub-score of less than 5.5; a minimum score of 550 on TOEFL; an internet-based (iBT) TOEFL score of 79 (no score less than 19); no score less than three in each skill of the ISLPR (conducted by GELI or ISLPR Language Services only); a minimum grade of C on the Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE); a minimum grade of C on the Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE).
