This degree program gives students a broad business focused education and training in all key aspects of event management. The program includes two industry placements of paid employment in industry in Australia and abroad including hotels, convention centers and event venues. Event management spans several large sectors including MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions), community and cultural celebrations, sporting events and arts/entertainment festivals, and destination tourism branding. Event management runs across all sectors of industry from corporate to public to government.

Students must have completed an Australian year 12 senior secondary school certificate or its international equivalent. If 12 years of education has not been completed, applicants with an equivalent Australian year 11 and at least a certificate IV qualification or a partially completed university degree may be considered. They must be at least 18 years of age (or turning 18 before the end of the first practical term) and provide original certified copies of any academic and professional qualifications (including the original language and translated document if applicable). In addition they must have a minimum level of English language competency of IELTS score of 6.0 academic (valid IELTS certificate of not more than two years old must be provided).
