This program is specifically designed to be undertaken by students who have already completed an Advanced Diploma of Hospitality Management or equivalent. Building on the foundation of a strong hospitality management theme, this course focuses on the development of knowledge and skill in the areas of both tourism and management. They will develop the skills, attitudes and confidence required for management roles within the tourism and hospitality industries. They may find employment in the hospitality industry, resorts, tourist attractions, transport or tour services; in other enterprises where tourists are involved, such as museums and national parks; or in administrative or coordinating organisations such as regional tourism authorities.

Students should have either one of the following: Swinburne college English for Academic Purposes advanced level certificate at the pathways level (EAP 5: pathways - 60 per cent); obtaining a minimum IELTS overall band of 5.5 (academic module) with no individual band below 5.0; a TOEFL (paper-based) minimum score of 527 (with a test of written English (TWE) score of 4.5); a TOEFL (computer-based) minimum score of 196 (with written writing score of 4.5); a TOEFL (internet-based) minimum score of 71 with no band less than 18.
