पाठ्यक्रमबारे सारश
This program enables students to develop the skills required for senior positions in the provision of services for children aged up to 18 and their families. The study program is made up of the following areas processes and structures related to the provision of human services, specialist areas such as child care, education, welfare, development and learning, family studies and child protection; ethics and professional studies in child and family services and field placements. There is a practical professional placements in the second semester of the third year during which students must be available five working days each week. It will provide students with a strong understanding of contemporary child development and qualify them to lead the integrated child and family programs that are emerging in the early year’s health and community services sector. They will be qualified for positions in child education and care, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander services, child and family welfare, child protection and child safety services, community-based organizations, community development, family support services, foster care services, services for women, welfare organizations, and policy and research. It is accredited with the Office for Early Childhood Education and Care, Queensland, allowing graduates to work as directors in child care centers.

Students should have completed a senior secondary school qualification regarded as comparable to an Australian Year 12 award. International students whose native is not English should have the following requirements: a minimum overall band score of 6.0 on IELTS (Academic) with no sub-score of less than 5.5; a minimum score of 550 on TOEFL; an internet-based (iBT) TOEFL score of 79 (no score less than 19); no score less than three in each skill of the ISLPR (conducted by GELI or ISLPR Language Services only); a minimum grade of C on the Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE); a minimum grade of C on the Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE).
