This course prepares students for management positions in the rapidly growing tourism and hospitality industries. Students receive rigorous grounding in business fundamentals, as well as major studies in Tourism and Hospitality, and Marketing. These studies are combined with hands-on industry training and work experience. Students who have completed the program will have a rigorous grounding in tourism and hospitality management, accounting, economics and business statistics; hands-on industry training and employment experience and have developed leadership, management and communication skills.

Students must have completed overseas qualifications considered equivalent to Australian studies or an alternative entry scheme. They must also satisfy the following English language requirements: IELTS overall score of 6.5 with a minimum score of 6.0 in each of the sub-tests of speaking, listening, reading and writing; TOEFL - Internet-based Test (iBT) overall score of 90 with a minimum score of 24 in writing; TOEFL - Paper-based Test (PBT) overall score of 577 with a minimum score of 5.0 in the Test of Written English (TWE); successful completion of the UNSW Institute of Languages University English Entry Course with a grade of C+ (grade point 7.0) and a minimum score of 20 in the writing component; overall score of 68 in Pearson Test of English academic version and successful completion of the ANU College Access Program with a minimum of 70 per cent overall.
