This course prepares students for management positions in the rapidly growing tourism and hospitality industries. Students receive rigorous grounding in business fundamentals, as well as major studies in Marketing, Tourism and Hospitality. These studies are combined with hands-on industry training and work experience. On successful completion of the BCom (Services Marketing - T and H), students will have the ability to: demonstrate and apply business, tourism and hospitality knowledge; demonstrate critical thinking and problem solving skills, particularly within the tourism and hospitality context; present complex issues in coherent written statements and oral presentations; demonstrate understanding of disciplinary issues in a global context; demonstrate understanding and apply the principles of working collaboratively in teams; understand the social and ethical dimensions in their chosen disciplinary areas.

Applicants will be considered for admission to this program at UNSW on the basis of their performance in any of the following: Australian and New Zealand final secondary studies and/or, University or post-secondary or tertiary qualifications (eg, TER, TAFE Advanced Diploma), overseas qualifications considered equivalent to Australian Year 12 studies; alternative entry programs such as Access and UNSW Foundation Year. They must also satisfy the following English language requirements: IELTS overall score of 6.5 with a minimum score of 6.0 in each of the sub-tests of speaking, listening, reading and writing; TOEFL - Internet-based Test (iBT) overall score of 90 with a minimum score of 24 in writing; TOEFL - Paper-based Test (PBT) overall score of 577 with a minimum score of 5.0 in the Test of Written English (TWE); successful completion of the UNSW Institute of Languages University English Entry Course with a grade of C+ (grade point 7.0) and a minimum score of 20 in the writing component; overall score of 68 in Pearson Test of English academic version and successful completion of the ANU College Access Program with a minimum of 70 per cent overall.
