This course gives a further year of study for students who have successfully completed their undergraduate degree in the areas of Music, Fine Arts, New Media Design or Communication with an average overall grading of Credit or higher. It provides a pathway for students to commence research training and offers the opportunity to subsequently participate in advanced post graduate study. The course also offers a Gallery and Museum Research project for students wishing to pursue advanced study in that sector.

Students must have a successful completion of a recognised bachelors degree in the areas of Architecture and Design, Communication, Music, New Media or Visual Arts with a grade point average of credit or better. They should also demonstrate their English language proficiency with an overall minimum TOEFL score of 575 and score of 5 in the Test of Written English (TWE), valid for two years, from the date of the test to the date of commencement at CDU; or with a minimum CBT score of 230 and a minimum score of 4.5 in the Essay Rating; or with a minimum IBT score of 84 and a minimum score of 22 in writing; or with an IELTS overall minimum score of 6.5 with no band less than 6 valid for two years, from the date of the test to the date of commencement at CDU.
