This program prepares students for careers in both architecture and law. It will be ideal if their interests and aspirations span these two respected fields. It works by spreading out the first year of the Sydney LLB over three years of the Design in Architecture program. Students enroll in the Faculty of Architecture, Design and planning for the first three years and then transfer to the Law School to finish the last two years of their studies. On completion of the program they will be uniquely positioned to elect whether they want to enter legal or architectural practice or pursue the broadening nexus between these fields. To become a registered architect they would need to complete a further two years of study in the Master of Architecture. Graduates are proficient in research and inquiry, and demonstrate personal and intellectual autonomy, and ethical, social and professional understanding, qualities sought after by leading employers all over the world.

Students must have an acceptable secondary qualification from their high school studies (or at least one year of tertiary studies). They must satisfy IELTS minimum result of 7.5 overall and a minimum result of 7.0 in each band or TOEFL minimum result of 637 overall including a minimum result of 5.0 in writing or IBT minimum result of 110 overall including a minimum result of 24 in reading, listening and speaking and 25 in writing.

The Camperdown campus is the home to the faculties of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources, Architecture, Arts, Economics and Business, Education and Social Work, Engineering, Medicine, Pharmacy, Science, and Veterinary Science. Also located on this campus is the University's Centre for English Teaching. This campus has sports ovals and centres, museums, galleries, two major complexes devoted to student recreation and services.

Accomodation options that are available in this campus are University owned accommodation, Residential colleges, Sydney University Village, STUCCO student cooperative living. International House is the only University owned residential college. It offers both catered and self-catered options. The Student Housing Unit manages Darlington House, the Terraced Housing and Selle House. Darlington House accommodates 54 students in 12 male-only or female-only self-contained apartments in a modern apartment building. The Terraced Housing consists of single and twin-shared bedrooms in 43 terraced houses located near the University. Low cost accommodation, subsidised by the University, is offered in Selle House and several terraced houses. This accommodation caters to students on a very low budget. Students will only be eligible if they are an Australian Citizen or a Resident and receive a Centrelink benefit. Sydney University Village offers self-catering apartments to enrolled students. Located in Newtown, about ten minutes walk from the university, STUCCO is a housing co-operative for full-time, low income students who are Australian residents. Affiliated with, but not owned by the University, it accommodates 38 students in eight apartments. Off campus accommodation is available in student residence or hostel.
