In this double degree program graduates can combine the concepts of computer systems engineering with finance enabling them to confront challenging and exciting careers. Computer systems engineers plan, design, and improve computer systems and conceive of new ways of applying them to existing devices, equipment and processes. Computer systems engineers are of critical importance to global industries such as automotive, defence, industrial control, consumer electronics and communications, and they have strong employment prospects both in South Australia and around the world. There is a broad coverage of the specialised financial institutions, their asset classes, and the markets in which the different assets are traded. Areas of study include financial markets, valuation issues, international trade and finance, financial modelling and financial management.

Students should have completed SACE stage 2 in Mathematical Studies, Physics plus one of Specialist Mathematics or Chemistry and they should have completed IB in either Mathematics (HL grade 3) and Physics (SL grade 4/HL grade 3); or, Chemistry (SL grade 4/HL grade 3), Physics (SL grade 4/HL grade 3) and Mathematics (SL grade 4/HL grade 3). They should also satisfy the English language requirements such as: IELTS score of 6 (Reading score of 5.5, Listening score of 5.5, Speaking score of 6 and writing score of 6).
