This program allows students to specialise in a niche area of personal interest, develops their research skills and increases their employment prospects. An honours year is a chance to become a member of a community of health professionals committed to moving their career forward through research. Under a senior scholar, each student will develop research skills and make a significant contribution to the development of knowledge in their profession.

Students must have qualified for the award of, or been awarded, the pass degree or an equivalent degree from another university; completed a major/s in the intended area/s of study; completed the Honours Research Proposal unit of study, or an equivalent unit; a WAM of at least 65; and have the permission of the relevant head of department/ discipline/ program coordinator. They must satisfy IELTS minimum result of 7.0 overall and a minimum result of 7.0 in each band or TOEFL minimum result of 600 overall including a minimum result of 5.0 in writing or IBT minimum result of 100 overall including a minimum result of 24 in reading, listening and speaking and 25 in writing.
