ICT knowledge and skills play an essential role in almost all organisations, and ICT professionals are well-placed to drive business innovation. This program has a practical focus and offers specialisations in many information and communication technology areas. They learn every phase of developing and architecting a software system, from initial planning and design through to actual programming, team management and associated business issues. Tasks include: constructing networks; creating software packages; the creation, management and deployment of databases; and networking, telecommunications and integration of diverse systems. Internships offer industry experience with successful information technology companies. Career opportunities includes Business systems analysis, information and communication technology support, network engineering, systems architecture or integration, database programming, web programming. Students and graduates may become members of the Australian Computer Society.

Students must have completed Australian Year 12 with good grades and must have prior knowledge in English and Maths. Students must satisfy any one of the following English language requirements: IELTS (Academic) score of at least 6.0, with a minimum of 5.5 in all subtests; a TOEFL score (paper-based test) of at least 550, with essay score of 4; TOEFL score (internet-based test) of at least 76, with a minimum writing score 18 or successful completion of Direct Entry English Pathway, with a minimum grade of 65 percent.
