पाठ्यक्रमबारे सारश
This course introduces students to health issues locally and globally; and the social, environmental, biological and historical factors that influence health in a population. At Level two, they will develop skills in critical appraisal and research inquiry through Foundations of Epidemiology and Biostatistics. The understanding of population health will be built upon in Disease Prevention and Control (which will focus on promoting health and preventing disease). Level three will provide insights into specific applications of population health expertise, through Health Systems and Policy, Health Promotion, Health Industry Leadership and further develop research inquiry skills (Health Research Design and Methods). These units will provide a broad skill base for application within a dynamic health environment. Students with a Population Health major can pursue further studies at Honors level, or undertake Masters in Public Health by coursework or research, Public Health Practice, Masters in Health Sciences, or PhD. Other further study options include the Master of Nursing Science, Master of Teaching, Doctor of Dental Medicine, Doctor of Medicine, and Doctor of Podiatric Medicine.

Students must have completed Western Australian Universities Preparatory Program (WAUPP) with a score of 63, International Baccalaureate with a score of 29, French Baccalaureate with a score of 12, UWA Foundation Program (UWAFP) with a score of 66, GCE or Cambridge Advanced-level Examinations with a score of 8. To be eligible for admission to a program at UWA, they must demonstrate satisfactory performance in a UWA-approved test of English. This is the case even if English is their first language. They must also have WA Certificate of Education in English, Literature or English as an additional language/dialect with scaled mark of 50 or above, in stage 2 or stage 3. TEE English/English Literature with scaled mark of 50 or above English as a Second Language with final mark of 66.60 or above (in 2007). There are different English language requirement for various states.
