This degree covers a broad range of topics including personality, perception, neuroscience, learning, biopsychology, social and personality psychology, organisational psychology, developmental psychology, neuropsychology and cognitive processes. This degree is accredited by the Australian Psychological Society (APS). The degree is accredited by the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and allows students to proceed to an APS approved fourth year course. Note that after the fourth year, a further two years of postgraduate training or supervised experience is required for registration as a psychologist. Students applying for the fourth year must meet the entry requirements. Career opportunities are largely determined by the level of academic training, with options available in: Business areas such as: human resources, training or marketing, Educational institutions as a research assistant or report writer, Employment in psychology related areas (but not under the title of Psychologist), Family or community based organizations, Government departments and agencies and Health Services organizations.

Students should possess a sound knowledge in Mathematics. Students should have IELTS (Academic English only): Minimum score of 6.5 overall, with 6.0 in each section; TOEFL (paper based test): Minimum score of 570 overall, with 53 Listening, 52 Reading, 59 Structure/ Written Expression, 4.5 TWE; TOEFL (internet based test): Minimum score of 90 overall, with 20 Listening, 20 Reading, 22 Writing, 20 Speaking.
