This course provides students who have qualified for, or been awarded, an undergraduate pass degree in visual arts the opportunity to extend their potential in studio-based and written research. Subject areas include ceramics; film and digital art; glass; jewellery and object; painting; photo media; print media and sculpture, performance and installation (SPI). It focuses on establishing their individual research practice, further equipping them for entry into professional practice or entry into the Master of Fine Arts or Doctor of Philosophy programs.

Students must have completed the requirements of the pass degree of the Bachelor of Visual Arts, or equivalent degree from a recognized institution, with a weighted average mark across intermediate and senior units of at least 65; and have graduated from the pass degree no more than three years prior to commencement of the honors course. English language requirements for admission to this course: IELTS: A minimum result of 6.5 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band or TOEFL: A minimum result of 577 overall including a minimum result of 4.5 in Writing or IBT: A minimum result of 90 overall including a minimum result of 22 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 23 in Writing.
