This Internship preparation course is a 4-month internship preparation course for Japanese undergraduate university students. The program combined a series of modules which included a customised two-week Australian culture orientation program; ten weeks of general English with other international students; three weeks of customised business communication and workplace skills to complement work experience with companies in the Sydney area. The English language program was followed by externally provided work experience in Australian businesses.

The Centre for English Teaching is located on the main campus of the University of Sydney in the Wentworth Building in Sydney, NSW, Australia. The campus is a short distance from the city centre, and is easily accessible by Sydney's bus and train networks. It is between the inner-city suburbs of Glebe and Newtown, where students will find inexpensive restaurants and entertainment, and a broad range of off-campus housing. It is also very close to Chinatown and Darling Harbour, and 25 minutes from the nearest ocean beach.
