In this course, students will gain skills and knowledge in manicure and pedicure; beauty treatments; basic financial transactions; skin biology; make-up application; remedial camouflage; gel nail enhancements; ear piercing; waxing treatments; workplace communication; workplace safety and product sales. Students who successfully complete the Certificate III in Beauty Services may wish to go on to the Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy. Career Opportunities: Beauty Therapist.

Students must be over the age of 16 and by interview process. International students must have any one of the following requirements: NMIT English placement test; academic IELTS 5.5 or higher; academic IELTS 5.0 (NMIT to offer 10 weeks ELICOS prior); academic IELTS 4.5 (NMIT to offer 20 weeks ELICOS prior); general IELTS 6.0; general IELTS 5.5 (NMIT to offer 10 weeks ELICOS prior); general IELTS 5.0 (NMIT to offer 20 weeks ELICOS prior); for IELTS scores less than 4.5, NMIT can offer up to 50 weeks ELICOS; TOEFL test score of 530 (paper-based), 197 (computer-based) or 71 (internet-based) or Pearson test of English - academic (PTE) 46.
