This course provides comprehensive training in all practical and theoretical aspects of the carpentry trade. Wherever possible, work is undertaken on full size projects at Holmesglen in its specially designed facilities. The course provides the skills and knowledge needed to plan and coordinate the construction of low-rise residential and commercial buildings. Students can have career opportunity as a Carpenter and Various positions in building and construction; and do further studies in Diploma of Building and Construction (Building); Advanced Diploma of Building and Design (Architecture); Advanced Diploma of Building Surveying; and Bachelor of Applied Science (Built Environment).

Students should have a good record at Year 11 level or the overseas equivalent and preferably some relevant work experience. They must satisfy English language proficiency level of IELTS 5.5, IELTS 2+, TOEFL 197 (CB) or 46 (iBT), PTE Academic Score of 42 (no communicative skill score less than 42), Cambridge English: Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) of 47 or equivalent.
