This training program is conducted over approximately 24 months, during which time the students can be employed in the building and construction industry. To obtain this qualification all 15 core competency units and four elective competency units must be achieved. The area of studies are as follows: follow OHS policies and procedures, work effectively in the general construction industry, plan and organise work, conduct workplace communication, carry out measurements and calculations, read and interpret plans and specifications, carry out excavation, use explosive power tools, erect and dismantle restricted height scaffolding, handle carpentry materials, use carpentry tools and equipment, carry out concreting to simple form, carry out general demolition to minor building structures, carryout setting out, construct wall frames, construct ceiling frames, construct a pitched roof, install and replace windows and doors, carry out levelling operations, operate elevated work platforms, erect and dismantle formwork for footings and slabs on ground, install flooring systems, erect roof trusses, construct eaves, construct advanced roofs, install lining, panelling and moulding, construct, erect and dismantle formwork for stairs and ramps, assemble and install stairs, assemble doors and windows, research business opportunities.
अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय विद्यार्थीहरू प्रवेशको लागि आवश्यकता
Students from India and Bangladesh should have completed 10 + 1 minimum 50 per cent average. Pakistan students should have completed basic Education High School Matriculation 45 per cent or higher. Chinese students should have completed Junior Middle School Graduation Certificate. Malaysian and Singaporean students should have undertaken 4 SPM or GCE 'O' Levels 'D' Grade or Higher. Students from USA must have completed High School Diploma or completion of 12th Grade. They must also have the English Language requirements, such as: IELTS score of 5.5 (General Training Version) overall with no individual band lower than 5; TOEFL score of 530 or above; or Medium of instruction at school being English, and satisfactory grades in English in final examinations (such as C grade at O level).
