This course focuses on the design of furniture and the application of the design into a finished furniture product. The course develops skills and knowledge required to design and produce individual fine furniture for display or custom production. Graduates may pursue a range of diploma and degree options in furniture design and technology. Career opportunities include furniture producer and various positions in furniture design and manufacture.

Students should have a good record at Year 11 level or the overseas equivalent and preferably some work experience in cabinet or furniture making. They must satisfy English language proficiency level of IELTS 5.5, ISLPR 2+, TOEFL 197 (CB) or 46 (iBT), PTE Academic Score of 42 (no communicative skill score less than 42); Cambridge English: Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) of 47 or equivalent.
