In this course, students will acquire the knowledge and practical skills required to work creatively as an assistant graphic designer in a professional practice. This course is for people with a strong creative flair for visual communications who want to produce graphic design in a commercial context. They will learn how to creatively resolve 2D and 3D design problems, manipulate and extend design concepts, and produce creative design solutions. They will also explore a range of manual and digital technologies, media, typography and techniques.

Students must have completed Year 12 or equivalent or a relevant Certificate III qualification or equivalent. A portfolio must be submitted. They must have proficiency in English with academic IELTS score of 6.0 or TOEFL (iBT) score of 60 or Certificate III in English for Further Study at TAFE NSW or equivalent.
