This program has been designed as an alternative pathway for university entry. The curriculum focuses on developing and improving students’ English language proficiency for academic study and enhancing their skills in Mathematics, Computing Studies and Communication. Program specialisations are designed to prepare students for advanced study and help to develop a practical understanding of enquiry based skills required to be successful at university. It is a 14 course non-award program designed to produce students who are equipped to successfully undertake study in a tertiary environment. The program provides instruction in English for academic purposes, practical academic study skills and fundamental knowledge in key skill areas that can be applied to a tertiary study environment. Career opportunities exist in areas such as business analysis, systems analysis, information systems, health informatics, electronic business, electronic commerce, education, training, information systems development, system design and information management.

Students must be a minimum age of 17 at time of commencement of the program and IELTS 5.5. Mature age students will also be considered.
