This course provides managerial-level training for clerks and administrative workers. It provides a basis for a wide range of careers and occupations. Students will learn how to establish and maintain a workgroup network; manage meetings; plan and manage conferences; plan or review administration systems; manage payroll and manage business document design and development. Job roles and titles vary across different industry sectors. Possible job titles relevant to this qualification include; administration manager, general office manager and office manager.

Students must have completed Year 12 and BSB40507Certificate IV in Business Administration or other relevant qualification or vocational experience in management but without a formal qualification. They must also demonstrate English language ability such as, suitable results of a recent academic IELTS - score 5.5 overall with no individual band lower than 5.0, or TOEFL (iBT) 51, or successful completion of TAFE NSW Certificate III in English for Further Study, or proof that the medium of instruction at school has been in English with satisfactory grades in English in final examinations.
