In this course, students will learn the following topics: acts and regulations; introduction to computer communications; applied operations for spreadsheets; basic and advanced operations in word processing; basic mineralogy; computer hardware fundamentals; drilling operations; environmental management; extractive operations; field project in geoscience; field project organisation; geochemistry; geological - history and processes; geology - economic / hydro / structural / petroleum / and soils and engineering; geophysics; geoscience - data processing / drafting / and surveying; introductory mathematics; managing grievances and disputes; mining operations field camp and field camp support; petrology; presenting reports; research project in geoscience; scientific database and spreadsheet applications; statistics; methods of sampling and work placement.
