This course provides graduates with the training required to manage a small to medium sized equine business such as an agistment centre, training centre, horse stud, eco-tourist enterprise, transport company, or work in a management capacity in a larger equine enterprise. Career opportunities include employment in a management capacity in their own business or as an employee in a variety of performance horse enterprises. Students may also be able to gain employment within other sectors of the horse industry, such as working for industry governing bodies, feed and pharmaceutical companies, bloodstock agents, or as educators.

Students must have completed Year 10 or equivalent, plus 91189NSW Certificate III in Horse Industry Practice (Performance Horse) (7280) or equivalent. They must also demonstrate English language ability such as, suitable results of a recent academic IELTS - score 5.5 overall with no individual band lower than 5.0, or TOEFL (iBT) 51, or successful completion of TAFE NSW Certificate III in English for Further Study, or proof that the medium of instruction at school has been in English with satisfactory grades in English in final examinations.
