Silver Trowel offer a variety of construction skills training courses for bricklaying, solid plastering and roof tiling as well as trade apprenticeship training in bricklaying, roof tiling and solid plastering; traineeships in concreting and general construction. This is a Registered Training Organisation, which means we must demonstrate and maintain strict standards as specified by the AQTF Australian Quality Training Framework.

The Silver Trowel Trade Training provides three types of accommodations, such as shared accommodation, rental accommodation and homestay. The shared accommodation offers students a reasonable level of independence they require at a reasonable cost. Sharing the apartment with one or more adults, will have their own bedroom but will share household responsibilities (like cleaning and laundry). Students can provide their own linen and food. They have to pay extra for services such as electricity and telephone. Rental Accommodation provides them with total independence and privacy. By signing a legal contract with a landlord or real estate agency, they can rent an apartment or house - choosing from furnished or unfurnished (although unfurnished is more usual). They will be solely responsible for the cost of electricity, gas, water, telephone and groceries. Most real estate agencies require a bond equivalent to four weeks rent in addition to two weeks rent paid in advance and a letting fee which usually equates to one week rent. Homestay is where students choose to live with an Australian family. They are provided with a bedroom and can use the family’s home at leisure. However, there are a number of rules that they will need to familiarise themselves with and more information about this can be provided upon request.
