This is a two-year, 144 credit point program (16 units) including classroom education and field placement. The program is offered in four main subject areas: Biblical Studies, Theology, Church History, Pastoral Theology and Practice. This program provides students with the opportunity to undertake pre-bachelor award level study in theological disciplines. It is designed for those who have a less formal educational background than those undertaking the BTh award, or those who are seeking an award requiring less overall commitment than the degree. Every program shall include at least 27 credit points in Biblical Studies, at least 27 credit points in Theology, at least 9 credit points in Church History, at least 27 credit points from a range of Pastoral Theology and Practice, Missiology, Ethics, Liturgy and Christina Spirituality subjects, a further 54 credit points chosen from approved units and all course units shall be taken from the Schedule of Units of Study for undergraduate awards.

Students must have satisfactory completion of Year 12 in an Australian school system (or equivalent) (or) they must have reached the age of 21 ands so satisfy the requirements for Mature Age Entry or have adequate grounds for Special Entry (or) applicants who have completed some studies in a comparable program at another accredited institution may be admitted with up to a maximum of 96 credit points.
