This program enables students to develop a broad awareness and understanding of the tourism industry and its range of operations. It develops general skills in the sales and office operations area, specialised skills in international retail sales, and supervisory skills tailored for the tourism industry. This course suits those who want to join the tourism industry, but who do not know specifically what part of the industry, as well as those who wish to join a corporate or public retail travel agency. Students can seek employment with: travel agencies, airlines, wholesale companies, regional tourism offices, hire car companies. Successful completion of this course will enable them to proceed to the Advanced Diploma of Tourism Management.
