This program is designed for candidates who are engaged in applied business research as part of their career development, or for research professionals who wish to support their career development with doctoral study. Candidates will pursue a supervised program of study and research leading to the submission of a portfolio of written work.

Students may be permitted to enrol for the degree if they have not less than five years of professional experience in business; and has fulfilled such other requirements as the committee may determine from time to time; and has qualified for the degree of Master of Business (Research), or Bachelor of Business with a minimum of Honours 2A at Central Queensland University; or has such other qualifications and experience as are considered by the Committee to be equivalent to or an adequate substitute for any of the qualifications listed above. They must also satisfy the English language requirements as follows: IELTS band score of 6.5 (with no individual band score of less than 6.0) or TOEFL an overall paper based score of 600 including a score of 5 or more in the Test of Written English (TWE), an overall computer-based score of 250 including a score of 5 or more in the Essay Writing Score, an overall internet-based score of 100 including a score of 25 or more in the Writing Section.
