This course improve and develop English language proficiency. Students meet the language entry requirements for QUT Foundation, University Diploma, or undergraduate programs. It is designed to prepare students for independent study, and to familiarize them with an Australian academic setting in terms of study techniques and student/lecturer relations and expectations. Successful students who achieve the required grades in the English for Academic Purposes program and who meet all other entry requirements will progress to their chosen QUT Foundation, University Diploma, or undergraduate programs. They must meet the English proficiency requirements with IELTS score of 5.5 and TOEFL overall score of 70.0.

This campus is situated on a beautiful hilltop, located only two kilometres north of the city centre. The campus is well serviced by buses and is a 20 minute walk from the Roma Street Transit Centre. The Creative Industries Precinct at Kelvin Grove hosts performances, installations and cultural events, and is a hub for collaboration between business, government, academia and individual designers, artists and performers. The Kelvin Grove campus is integrated with the Kelvin Grove Urban Village, which includes apartment complexes, a supermarket, shops and restaurants.
