This course is suitable for graduates wishing to undertake a short period of study to extend their professional qualifications and those wishing to broaden or change direction in their professional endeavours. Art Administration is a discipline that combines a wide ranging knowledge of the visual arts in relation to management, marketing and finance as well as exhibition and curatorial practices, writing and documentation, and legal and theoretical studies. The discipline aims to equip graduates for leadership positions within the arts.

Students should normally have a completed, recognised Bachelor degree with performance at credit average. Students who have a degree in areas other than the visual arts may be considered for admission. They must also satisfy the following English language requirements: IELTS overall score of 6.5 with a minimum score of 6.0 in each of the sub-tests of speaking, listening, reading and writing; TOEFL - Internet-based Test (iBT) overall score of 90 with a minimum score of 24 in writing; TOEFL - Paper-based Test (PBT) overall score of 577 with a minimum score of 5.0 in the Test of Written English (TWE); successful completion of the UNSW Institute of Languages University English Entry Course with a grade of C+ (grade point 7.0) and a minimum score of 20 in the writing component; overall score of 68 in Pearson Test of English academic version and successful completion of the ANU College Access Program with a minimum of 70 per cent overall.
