This course will equip engineers and other technical professionals with the necessary knowledge, skills and competencies for making a successful transition into management roles. In an era of rapid technological change, engineers need to acquire skills to integrate technology, quality, productivity and globalisation imperatives into organisational decision making. The program of study is designed for engineers and related technical professionals who are increasingly called upon to plan and implement technological and other changes to enhance organisational effectiveness.

Students must have an undergraduate degree or higher in any discipline or Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Business plus a minimum of four years general work experience in an engineering or business related field or a minimum of four years professional/managerial work experience in an engineering or business field. They must also satisfy any one of the following English language requirements: an IELTS score of 6.5 with a minimum score of 6.0 in each subtest, TOEFL score of 575 with minimum score of 4.5 in TWE, TOEFL (CBT): 232 with minimum score of 4.5 in essay rating, TOEFL (IBT): 89 with writing score of 21 and all subtests score of 18 or they should provide satisfactory evidence that English was the medium of instruction in their secondary or tertiary studies.

This campus is located in Rydalmere between Ryde and Parramatta in Western Sydney. To reach the campus from the Sydney Central Business District (CBD) or airport typically takes around 40 minutes by car. The University provides facilities and support services for students which includes accommodation, careers and cooperative education; chaplains, childcare centres, clinics in naturopathy, osteopathy, podiatry and traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture. It also has the facility of remedial and relaxation massage open to the public (Uniclinic), counselling services, disability services, IT services, student learning unit, library services , residential colleges, services for Indigenous students, services for international students, sport and leisure, student associations, venue hire.

UWS Village (Parramatta) provides a variety of self catered apartments at highly competitive rates complete with a community experience of living on campus whilst at university. The Apartment consists of 13 separate buildings and 73 units generating a total of 345 beds. The buildings are typically three storeys and are predominantly made up of five to six bedroom apartments. Modern, high quality furniture and fittings have been architecturally designed specifically for university students’ lifestyles and have been chosen to create a relaxing and stylish atmosphere within each apartment. Coloured feature walls, smart furniture design, large size kitchens and tiled bathrooms ensure that all apartments and common areas within the Village provide a refreshing, stimulating and comfortable environment for both living and studying.
