UOW hosts a series of Discovery Days which allow Year 12 students from over 130 high schools to experience, for a day, life as a university student. The day provides students with an insight into student life, including services and facilities on campus, subject selection, as well as the experience of attending classes in their areas of interest.

This campus offers a variety of accommodation options like University-managed residences, which are catered and self-catered, home stay with a local family and private rental in shared houses or apartments. The accommodations can be found in campus east, graduate house, gundi, international house, keiraview, kooloobong, Weerona College, the manor and rydges (affiliated accommodation).

This campus is situated west of Nowra in the city of Shoalhaven, UOW and Illawarra Institute of TAFE have built a facility that provides teaching space for institutions, a joint library, a canteen and student facilities. Students attending the Shoalhaven campus have access to the full range of services offered by the University of Wollongong and learning is supported by easy access to computers and information technology. This campus has several facilities for students which include canteen, bookshop, recreational facilities like television, pool table, jukebox and pinball machines.

This Centre is part of the University of Wollongong network of satellite campuses. These campuses bring university education to their local community. Students enrolled in any of the programs offered at Batemans Bay can take advantage of the opportunity to study with an internationally recognised institution without leaving their local area. At this Centre, students learn in a friendly, student-centred environment, making full use of small work group tutorials, seminars and classes as well as linking with others across the network of UOW students. The Centre also houses the Batemans Bay Community Library and TAFE. The Library has experienced staff to assist students and stocks an excellent core collection of print, reserves and audiovisual materials as well as access to electronic databases and full text resources.
