This program is an advanced studies in IT with an emphasis on enhancing the ability of graduates to gain professional employment in the IT industry. It is designed for those who have undertaken previous university-level studies in IT, equivalent to at least one and half years of an Australian bachelor degree. The Faculty of Information and Communication Technologies encompasses all of the major disciplines in ICT including computing, software engineering, information systems and telecommunications. This unique structure provides students with a broad range of study choices, enabling selection of units of study across all ICT disciplines. This Graduate Diploma of IT (Professional Computing) provides students with the necessary skills and knowledge to undertake a variety of roles in industry. Graduates can expect to find employment in a wide range of IT positions from technical (web development, internet technologies and programming) to business-oriented positions (business analyst, database and process modelling.)

Students should have a recognised degree with successful completion of studies in information technology, equivalent to at least one and a half years of an Australian bachelor degree in information technology. They should have any one of the following requirements: English for Academic Purposes Advanced level certificate at the undergraduate level (EAP 5: UG-65 per cent ); or, Obtaining a minimum IELTS overall band of 6.0 (Academic Module) with no individual band below 6.0; or, a TOEFL (Paper-based) minimum score of 550 (with Test of Written English (TWE) score of 5); or, a TOEFL (Computer-based) minimum score of 213 (with Written Writing score of 5); or, a TOEFL (Internet-based) minimum score of 80 with no band less than 20.
