Sitting on the banks of the Swan River, the UWA Crawley Campus is the oldest in Western Australia and among the most picturesque in the nation with its grand sandstone and terracotta buildings sitting among elegant heritage-listed gardens. The crawley campus, just 10 minutes from the Perth central business district, is home to the main campus of The University of Western Australia. The University's strong foundation in research and teaching creates a scholarly environment which promotes the pursuit and rigorous critical interpretation of new information as well as the acquisition of knowledge. Apart from regular delivery of information (lectures, tutorials, supervised research, field trips and student placements), the University also provides students with opportunities to apply their knowledge on collaborative projects with business, industry, government and the wider community.

The residential colleges Currie Hall, St Catherine's College, St George's College, St Thomas More College and Trinity are close-knit communities full of support, friendship and activity and they offer the unique opportunity of a collegial experience. It is the interaction between peers, senior students, academic and support staff in a collegiate environment combined with the array of academic, cultural and social experiences and programs, which characterise the colleges and makes them distinctive educational settings. There are approximately 1150 college students currently on campus along college row. The five colleges are either owned or affiliated with UWA and are all united in providing a rewarding college experience for students. As centres of living and learning, the colleges are all-inclusive communities, full of opportunity, interaction and diversity.
