The graduate programs in construction law focus on common law principles and statutory regimes that impact upon construction and related projects in Australia and the relationship of such laws with the technical and commercial underpinnings of the industry; international aspects of construction law and practice, including comparisons with that applicable in Australia; the principles underpinning the drafting of construction contracts and amendment of standard-form construction contracts; avoidance, management and resolution of construction claims and disputes; and ongoing debates relating to construction law and practice.

Applicants must possess one of the following: a degree in a relevant discipline and the equivalent of at least two years of full-time, documented, relevant professional experience; or a degree in law leading to admission to legal practice (LLB, JD or equivalent), at honours standard or equivalent; or a degree in law leading to admission to legal practice (LLB, JD or equivalent) and the equivalent of at least two years of full-time, documented, relevant professional experience; or a degree in a relevant discipline, successful completion of four subjects in a cognate graduate diploma and the equivalent of at least one year of full-time, documented, relevant work experience. International applicants must fulfill the following English language requirements: IELTS (academic English only) score of 6.5 (no band less than 6.0); TOEFL (paper-based test) score of 577 plus TWE 4.5; TOEFL (computer-based test) score of 233 plus 4.5 essay rating; TOEFL (internet-based test) score of 79 (writing 21, speaking 18, reading 13 and listening 13); Pearson Test of English (academic) score of 58-64 inclusive and no communicative skill below 50.
