This Master of Education (Coursework) allows professional educators to extend their scholarship and develop their expertise in the general field of education or in an area of specialization. This specialisation allows professional educators to extend their scholarship and develop their expertise within a particular interest area. This distinctive specialization offers tomorrows educators the opportunity to extend and develop their understanding of science and its application in teaching and learning in primary or secondary school settings. Academic staff with in-depth industry experience will engage with students to understand how young learners develop their ideas and how teachers can respond. As a student, they will also develop skills to apply the contexts of science, technology, community and sustainability in learning and teaching. It enhances career advancement opportunities as a teaching professional or leader, education administrator, researcher or policy maker.

Applicants must have completed an Australian Bachelor degree in education; or Bachelor degree in an area other than education and a Graduate Diploma in Education or a health sciences degree with: three years experience; and a Graduate Certificate in Clinical Education. They must also have an overall academic IELTS score of 7.0 (with a minimum of 6.0 in every band).
