Students must have completed an Australian Bachelor's degree with Honours at H1 or H2A level, or hold an approved international equivalent. They must also satisfy one of the following English language requirements: IELTS (Academic) minimum overall band score of 6.5 with no individual band score less than 6.0 or TOEFL Computer-based Test: a minimum score of 233 with a score of 5 in essay writing or TOEFL Paper-based Test: a minimum score of 575 with a score of 5 or more in the Test of Written English or TOEFL Internet-based Test: a minimum score of 88 with no individual score less than 22 or completion of the English for Further Studies Advanced Stage 5B certificate at PG (postgraduate) level available from the La Trobe University Language Centre or approved equivalent.

This campus is situated on 33 hectares of natural Australian bushland adjacent to the Bendigo National Park, just three kilometres from the centre of Bendigo. It is the University's second largest campus with more than 4000 local and international students studying courses in this regional Victorian city. Bus routes 11 (University) and 14 (Strathdale) connect the campus with the Bendigo Railway Station and CBD. Train and coach services operate between Melbourne and Bendigo seven days a week. A bus service direct to the University from the Bendigo railway station operates each weekday morning and afternoon.

This campus has a variety of styles of accommodation such as: traditional Halls of Residence; contemporary self-catered residences; accommodation for mature age students; village apartments for independent students; and a number of houses and flats. An off campus housing service is 'maintained' by the Bendigo Student Association to assist students who prefer the independence of living in town or the variety of homestay opportunities.
