This course is designed to address the demand for graduates from information technology and computer science based courses who can also apply critical business acumen and strong communication skills. It is for students who hold a non Information Technology or Computer Science related degree. The program includes four, undergraduate Information Technology bridging subjects to give students the required theoretical knowledge and fundamental skill sets needed to complete the Master of Information Technology. Core computer science and information technology subjects ensure students are exposed to the latest technologies and knowledge in internet applications, databases, e-commerce and e-security, data mining, and multimedia as well as the all important project management. Subjects for the Business Administration component of this degree may be drawn from accounting, marketing, operations, human resource and finance management to produce well rounded graduates with the advanced people and project management skills, ethical behaviour and professional vigour demanded in today’s fast paced business environment.

Students must have completion of an undergraduate degree not in Information Technology or a related discipline, equivalent to an Australian Bachelor degree from this or another University; or other qualifications or practical experience recognised by the Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the Faculty of Law, Business and the Creative Arts as equivalent to the above. They must also satisfy the following English language requirements: IELTS score of 6.0 (no component lower than 5.5) or TOEFL (paper based) score of 550 (plus minimum Test of Written English score of 4.0) or TOEFL (internet based) score of 79 (minimum writing score of 19) or Pearson (PTE Academic) score of 57.
