This course is a fifth and sixth year program in psychology open to successful graduates of an accredited program in psychology. It provides psychology graduates with ethical values, advanced knowledge and professional skills in psychology, integrated by means of the scientist-practitioner model. Students will be prepared for responsible work as practitioner psychologists and also will be skilled as researchers. This course is offered in the discipline of educational and developmental psychology. The various career paths are psychologist and researcher.

Students require an IELTS score of 7.0 (with no subtest less than 7.0); four years of an accredited undergraduate psychology sequence, comprising an Honours degree in psychology, or a three year degree including an accredited sequence in psychology plus an accredited fourth year in psychology; assessment of psychology qualifications by the Australian Psychological Society; referee reports (one professional/personal and one academic); and interview for short-listed applicants. Entry is on a competitive basis. All applicants are ranked in October the year prior to admission before being considered for an offer in early December.
