This is a competency based course that prepares graduates for the profession of Speech Pathology, enabling them to work clinically with individuals with developmental or acquired communication and swallowing disorders. This course enables individuals with previous degrees to qualify as speech pathologists with a masters degree. This course is suitable for individuals wishing to become speech pathologists, who have a Bachelors degree in a related field, e.g. psychology, linguistics, medicine and education. The program is accredited by the Speech Pathology Association of Australia. Job prospects within Australia are excellent. Graduates of this program will be qualified to practise as speech pathologists in a variety of settings including schools, hospitals, community health centres and private practice.

Students should have Bachelor degree with a GPA of 3.00 out of 4.00 from a recognised university. Prerequisite units are required in Linguistics and Psychology. Due to the clinical nature of this program, spaces are limited and entry is competitive. Meeting eligibility criteria does not guarantee a place in the program. They should also have IELTS (Academic English only); Minimum 7.0 overall with 7.0 in each section. TOEFL (paper based test); Minimum score of 600 overall with 56 Listening, 56 Reading, 63 Structure/ Written Expression, 5 TWE. TOEFL (internet based test); Minimum score of 100 overall with 24 Listening, 24 Reading, 25 Writing, 24 Speaking.
