This campus is only seven kilometres from central Adelaide and is easily accessible by bus. Many students prefer to drive to Magill though on-campus car parking is limited. The Magill campus provides students with diverse facilities like a well-equipped theatre for stage productions, playing fields, swimming pool and a fitness gym. Also available for students is a café/bar with alfresco dining area, cafeteria, bookshop and an ATM. Some other facilities designed with a special focus on students needs, include specialized studios and computing facilities, in the case of multimedia students. At a short distance from campus are several restaurants that offer student discounts, a pub and a cinema. Also, the nearby Hartley Apartments are available for students who are looking for accommodation.

There are a wide range of accommodation options available to students while studying at UniSA, including student apartments, student hostels, homestay, residential colleges and private rental. The residential colleges are located in North Adelaide, within walking distance to the City. They include a single bedroom, fully furnished with a bed, desk, chair, telephone and wardrobe. Access to computers with online access to universities and the internet, a library, music rooms, sporting and laundry facilities, Students also benefit from the pastoral care. Student hostels includes fully furnished single rooms, normally with shared bathroom, kitchen, laundry and recreational areas. Some hostels also have double or triple share rooms. Some student hostels offer special rates for short term stays, subject to availability. Student apartments offer fully furnished options which cater to a wide range of preferences, requirements and budgets. For international students, home stay is a further opportunity to practise the English language skills and learn about the Australian lifestyle. Some students choose homestay just for their first four weeks in Adelaide and look for long term accommodation during this time. While others like to stay long term. Normally full board is provided (own furnished room plus meals). Non-profit housing accommodation options are generally unfurnished. As they operate on a not-for-profit or subsidised basis, availability is limited, eligibility criteria and waiting lists may apply. This free service has been designed to make it easier for UniSA students to find suitable housing. Here students will find a range of accommodation options such as single rooms, share-houses, units, etc.
